The European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2025 took place from 27 April to 2 May in Vienna, Austria.  The event welcomed 20,984 registered attendees, including 18,646 who travelled to Vienna from 120 countries and 2,338 who joined online from 104 countries.

EGU is Europe’s leading organisation for Earth, planetary, and space sciences, and each year it hosts the EGU General Assembly, one of the world’s largest geoscience conferences, attracting thousands of researchers to present their work and collaborate across disciplines.

In this year’s (2025) edition, the TUdi consortium made intensive use of the event to present the project’s work across various sessions. A special highlight was once again TUdi’s dedicated session on ‘Tools and strategies for soil conservation, remediation and fertilisation - agricultural system approaches to improve the quality of soil for food production.’ The session covered studies on soil conservation, soil remediation, and fertilisation strategies in agriculture at different spatial scales.

Several oral presentations and posters placed particular emphasis on decision-making processes and collaboration with agricultural stakeholders. TUDi partners engaged with around 100 participants onsite and online across their oral, poster, and PICO sessions. Overall, all sessions promoted meaningful engagement and knowledge exchange with the scientific community.
